At Shivalaya Farm, we understand that
while planning permanent plantation or plantation of any horticultural crop, the right selection of site is very important. For example, crops like Coconut, Areca nut, Sapota and Banana require regular watering but they cannot tolerate water stagnation. Whereas crops like Mango, Cashew and those from the citrus group require water stress for flower induction. Thus, we always select the site as per the requirements of the crop to be planted.

We have planned our layout as per soil terrain and soil depth. Every plot and every tree is numbered and for identification of crops recently introduced, labeling and signages are provided. Road approach to every plot has facilitated inter cultural operations and systematic collection of harvest produce.

Irrigation systems are designed to save maximum pumping power. Major area can be irrigated through gravity flow.
