Floriculture can be briefed as ‘eye satisfying Horticulture’. Gardening to garland entire things related with decoration and beautification are the floricultural things. India has good market potential for flowers. Shivalaya farm started floriculture by growing Gerbera, Orchids, gladiolus and other green fillers crop as pilot project at Wada, Dist. Thane near MUMBAI.
 
After the success of pilot projects Shivalaya farms is now engaged in large scale floriculture unit named Champali garden in collaboration with other partners at Vashivali, Tal-pen, Dist-Raigad, Near New-Mumbai. This project is looking for 25 acres of Flower cultivation under partially controlled climatic condition, post harvest facilities targeting domestic as well as export market. Main crops to be grown will be Dutch roses, Carnation, Gerbera and other outside crops will be Asparagus springeri, Limonium and bird of paradise along with other filler crops.
