| PLANT COLLECTION - Euphorbia
Euphorbia mili,
also called as “Kiss me not” because of its attractive flowers and lots of spine, is a flowering cactus. It originated in hot and dry climate and has few varieties that are adopted in humid condition and have leaves along with spines.
It is a perpetual flowering rock garden plant that can be kept indoors for rock arrangements as it requires very less light. For its luxurious growth, it needs good sunlight. It is easily propagated by cutting and by providing well aerated and good drain rooting media with little moisture and full sunlight.
Euphorbia mili is cross pollinated and because of the presence of nectar in its flowers, many insects are attracted to it, helping in pollination. Small capsules burst up to spread very tiny seeds. Proper bagging is required for collection of seeds. Plants propagated by seed flower within 3 months.
